The Apple iPod touch 32GB has been on the market for quite some time. It's now in its fourth incarnation and each one has been a distinct improvement on the previous version. But is it worth the price and where is a good place to get one from? In this article we take a look at some of its capabilities for you to decide and answer the question, iTouch 32GB price - is it worth the money?
As with previous versions, most of the controls are accessed via the touch screen which splits most users into two camps, (definitely a Marmite moment - you either love it or hate it). The only four physical buttons are for Power/Sleep, Home and Volume x2. The down side of touch-screen of course is that the screen very quickly gets covered in greasy finger marks and needs to be cleaned regularly, as does the rear of the unit which being a shiny chrome also shows every mark. That said, it is a small price to pay for a user friendly interface that is easily navigated by all but the extremely ham fisted.
Let's face it, who wouldn't like to have a music player, a video player, a PDA, an e book reader, a web browser, an e mail reader, a stills and video camera, games console and more, all in one small unit that easily fits into your pocket or bag?
Voice Control on the new 32 GB and 64 GB iPod touch gives you the ability to control music playback with spoken commands. You say it. iPod touch plays it. And shuffles it, pauses it, or names it.
Say and Play
Voice Control knows the music in your iPod touch. Want to hear something specific? All you have to do is ask. For instance, say "Play artist Bob Dylan," and iPod touch does just that. Ask what song is playing and hear iPod touch answer. Tell it to play your favorite album, artist, or playlist. Speak simple commands such as "shuffle," "next song," and "pause." Even have iPod touch play more songs like the one you're listening to.
